Knowledge about honey bees is relatively easy to come by. There are a number of books and courses on good beekeeping practices that include information on recognizing bee diseases and the lifecycle of mites. The reader is encouraged to view the references at the end of this book and to visit the online course on “Healthy Bees” that can be accessed through https://www.beelab.umn.edu/. The best knowledge comes from reading and by being active in beekeeping associations. For every ten beekeepers there are ten “best” ways of keeping bees. But the best beekeepers think like a bee and are able to follow and artfully enhance the bee’s lead.
