Farm Bill

In response to several messages in the past few days on the subject of
the Farm Bill and having posative impact on it's future.

I feel that:
1) We must work as hard as possible to protect it's favorable
aspects (a given) but....
2) Given the current legislatures commitment to doing away with
most federal regulations we.....
3) Must increase efforts at the state and local level to protect
the agricultural resource base.

If, current trends in public opinion and legislative deregulation continue
we can expect a void in legilation promoting and protecting a safe food
supply. We will have to increase efforts on the state and local level to
fill that void.
