Hello all.
I am writing to inform you of a panel on genetic engineering that is
taking place at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI on Thursday, April
20 at 7:30 pm. I thought there might be someone in the Central
Wisconsin area who might want to consider attending. If you do live
near us, and want to know where the panel discussion will be held and
how to get here, don't hesitate to contact me. We hope to have a very
educated and interested audience!

--Thomas Zinnen, education specialist at the UW Biotech Center in
Madison, WI
--Craig K. Harris, sociologist at Michigan State U.
--Steven Pincus, organic farmer in Madison, WI
--Lori Harms, coordinator at Family Farm Defenders in Madison, WI
THis is an amazing group of people who represent a wide span of
perspectives on the issue. And if we get a good response on campus, it
will provide further support for the need and desire among students for
an Environmental Studies major (which the faculty will be voting on
soon....)! Wish us luck...
