Howdy, all--

Pass the word along to exceptional young folks of your acquaintance:

We're five weeks away from the deadline for applications (1 April) to the
internship program at Redefining Progress. Ten-week, full-time internships
are available in three areas this summer (June 12 - August 25):

--Communications
--Incentives program
--Indicators program

Full-time (40 hours per week) internships provide an expense stipend of $500.

Redefining Progress is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research
institute, currently located in downtown San Francisco (we will be moving
across the SF Bay to Oakland in June). RP's purpose as an organization is
to stimulate public debate over the nature of economic progress and the
best means of attaining it. We take it as a given that a growth- and
consumption-based model of progress provides perverse incentives for
resource destruction and unsustainability in general.

Current projects include the Ecological Footprint, true sustainability (AKA
embracing limits), equity and climate change, environmental tax shifting,
the Genuine Progress Indicator...with emerging programs in common assets
and accurate pricing.
