Re: bias on NAS committee?

Folks: most of the names on this committee were not known to me, but
some were familiar. Gould and Snow, for example, have done some very
good basic and applied work at least some of which has been
beneficial to those arguing against GE. Two others, at least from
their resumes, are clearly at the "advocate" end of the spectrum.
But the rest appear, at least on paper, to be neutral. Am I being
too naive on this?

Can someone give us clear evidence, such as publications or job
history not presented in the previous post, to substantiate the claim
of bias in this committee?

I understand further that the USDA is undertaking its own GE review.
Anyone with news to report there? Including membership and mandate?

A final query - can anyone report on the findings of Citizens
Consensus conferences relating to GE in countries around the world?

Appreciate the help. Ann
