The Phillies Bridge Farm Project is a 120-family CSA and farm project
outside of New Paltz, New York.
The Intern Program at the Phillis Bridge Farm Project provides education
and training in Sustainable Agriculture. Interns work on small-scale,
organic, vegetable flower, and fruit production that uses appropriate
technology. On 5 acres, the farm crew produces enough food for 120 in the
CSA.
The interns are part of the farm crew of five who work mostly with hand
tools on greenhouse propagation, planting and transplanting, cultivating
and weeding, harvesting and distribution. The farm also has small flocks
of sheep and chickens.
Season: May through August (September optional)
Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm; 45 hours/week; includes half day Saturday (one
Saturday/month off)
Location: 45 Phillies Bridge Rd., Gardiner, New York (4 miles south of New
Paltz)
Stipend: $100 per week plus vegetable share available each week.
Farm Project Mission: The Phillies Bridge Farm is part of a larger Farm
Project whose goal is to support sustainable agriculture that is
environmentally, socially, and economically just.
