Dear Ms. Zygmont:
I know that you have extensive experience in the field of export
promotion, and am hoping that you can assist us in circulating the attached
announcement. Our program for short-term highly experienced, volunteer
consultants for Ethiopia has immediate need for an individual to fill an
export promotion assignment, as described in the announcement, and an
ongoing need for volunteers for other short-term assignments. The current
project is with the Oromia (Ethiopia) Agricultural Cooperatives Export
Promotion Bureau, and involves developing a strategic plan for promotion of
exports by farmers' cooperatives. Well developed scopes of work, including
expected qualifications, are already available for this assignment, and can
be faxed or e-mailed to interested candidates.
As the attached bulletin delineates, we are particularly interested in
recruiting individuals who have had previous experience in third world
countries. We are also trying to get this information out to as many
people as possible, and would appreciate it if you would forward it to
anyone in your own networks who would be qualified and interested. Our
program has enjoyed tremendous success with retired professionals, so we
are always interested in identifying anyone who might be interested in
getting back into the swing on a short-term basis. My phone, fax and
e-mail are included in the announcement.
Since the Scopes of Work and time lines are already established for
several assignments, please notify us as soon as possible if you or anyone
you know may be interested.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Mac. Thompson
