This has been a thick thread--a cord, a rope...verily, a
transatlantic cable--on SANET over about the past 9 months. I
recommend you search the SANET-mg archives at the SAN/SARE Web site:
Click on "SANET-mg" on the left side of your screen. That will take
you to the archives. You can view them by chunks of time/traffic. And
when you go into the index for a particular chunk, you can click on
"subject" to have them sorted by subject line.
Another way to search is to go to the "SEARCH" feature on the home
page above. On the search engine page, use the fly-out box to select
and search SANET-mg only. When I searched on "NOP," as a test, I got
100 hits.
There are also a variety of Web sites you might check. Use any search
engine and search on terms like:
"National Organic Program"
"national organic standards"
"organic standards"
Or the name of certifying agencies, such as:
"Organic Farmers Marketing Association" or OFMA
"California Certified Organic Farmers" or CCOF
"Organic Crop Improvement Association" or OCIA
OFMA's Web site is designed to be comprehensive; something of a
jumping-off point for the issue, with links to related and
background materials.
