DAN AND ERIC,

I also was concerned abut this post and I saved it and went back to
look at it again and I do not feel any better about it after sitting
on it for a few days. I do not have the back ground to go into the
details of this but from the big picture of it it does not look so
good. I suspect this is one of those cases where you do not have to
know all the science behind it to see the implications of what it
means. Again it looks like a problem to me but I wish some one who
is in this field would come forward.

Eric, I too was disturbed by that article. But since I appear to have a
reputation of "being on a crusade" here on Sanet (something that has been
said to me in private E-mail more than once),

DAN, I suspect that many of us on this list have been called crusaders or
missionaries or some other term that denotes we have political
motives. I would say that I am motivated by the politics of things
and I make no apology for that. I bring my values to the debate with
vigor and it is not hard to see where I am coming from. The idea of
the objective scientist to me is a myth perpetuated by some people in
science who want to perpetuate the status quo of the present power
structure in my opinion. Hang in there gang with your values and gut
feelings-it will serve us all better.

Science is usually changed by crusaders not by the flat landers.

I have waited two day since you expressed your concern waiting on
responses. Since I see none, I must presume that all the scientific minds
reading here either consider it to be totally without merit, or they are
researching the subject and will post their opinions later.

How about it all you scientific minds out there? Do any of you have any
comment on that article at all?
