Dear Sanetters:
The NH Division of Historical Resources (the State Historic Preservation =
Office, or SHPO) is developing legislation that would provide matching =
grants to preserve historic agricultural buildings. We are already =
familiar with (and covetous of) the Vermont "barn grants," and now we =
need to know if there are similar programs in other states. If you know, =
or think you know, of any, please reply to this post. We also solicit =
your perspectives or guidance (or warnings) about such grants, what has =
and has not worked well, and why. And if you have some wish-list items =
that you think we should try, do let us know!
