On another topic that you hammer - organics. I believe we have come to the
point where it is more important to be localized than to be certified. I
was surprised a week ago when a solid biodynamic farmer friend agreed with
me. "For the future the most important thing is to know the farmer who
produces your food," is what he said. That kind of relationship will
certainly engender respect, mutual respect of farmer and consumer. If we
must have a merchant between the farmer and the consumer, it should be very
transparent with the farmer still shining through. There is no point in
battling with Globalization and the Blockheads, we just ignore them, we
really don't need them. We operate locally and those who control the
distribution system that keeps the consumer and farmer distantly separated
are left spinning in the wind. Most of the industrialized world's
population is caught up in their Last Great Barbecue and can't be stopped.
Step aside and left them pass.
And now it's time to get off the soapbox and say, no matter what you writre
