Seems to work here, although I just sort of stumbled into that practice
myself. I was told by old timers here to move or kill off all but one or
two of the offshoots or semillas. I opted for leaving two.

I have heard that too. Also that the two top favorite fruits world wide
are apples and bananas, and not necessarily in that order.
