If you have any interest in participating, this is the time to sign up
for all (or some) of the June 21 - July 5
Permaculture Design Course at California Polytechnic University,
San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO). The course will be a fun and powerful
training in community and ecologically restorative practices.

The course is presented as three 4-day parts; Design Principles, Design
Applications, and Community Integration, with a one day break between
each part. The fee for the whole two week course is $565, or
alternatively $200 per part. Healthy meals are available at $330 for all
meals, or $110 per 4-day part. On site camping arrangements are
available at no additional cost. You can also bring your own food (no
cook stoves please). A large natural food store is nearby.

Discounts for current Cal Poly Permaculture students and extraordinary
work traders are available upon special request. There will also be
extra curricular evening presentations on-site by student participants
and invited guests, which will be open to everyone on a donation basis.

The course site is uniquely inspiring, and includes comfortable
classroom facilities, outdoor strawbale amphitheater, traditional
festival circle for nights around the fire... all adjacent to a large
biodiverse organic garden peaking in abundance.

Students at this course will learn to observe and interpret "patterns in
nature" and apply them to their own home, livelihood, and community.
Theory and practice will be brought together through a specialized
curriculum and hands-on experience. Course includes a community
celebration and Talent Show!

Students are also encouraged to present their own products, services and
skills to further develop ecologically restorative relationships. A
special Exposition/Trade Show happens July 3 with free display space
provided.

The teaching team will be led by Larry Santoyo - an enthusiastic veteran
instructor of 25 design courses, and includes local permaculture
designers, Akiva Werbalowsky and Julian Kayne.

This training series satisfies all requirements for Permaculture Design
Trainee Certification.
