Recently a there have been a number of forwardings of interesting and
relevant PANUPS postings to the sanet-mg list. Those of you who are doing
this are probably have not noticed that the original PANUPS posts are sent
to you via the the sanet-mg list!! That means everytime someone forwards
one, all list members have already received it and are consequently
receiving it multiple times. Check out the header on PANUPS posts (see
below). You will notice that the SENDER (at the bottom of the header) is
"owner-sanet-mg@ces.ncsu.edu.
Perhaps, if there is a particularly relevant posting, we could just refer
to "the (date) PANUPS posting about..." rather than reposting it in its
entirety to the whole list. Remember, many international members of the
list have to pay for each e-mail, sometimes by the byte. Many of us who
don't pay by the piece already receive more than enough e-mail to sort
through and would appreciate a minimum of duplication (probably including
yourself).
