Orange Roughy

I was, as a structural biologist, involved peripherally in the question of aging
fish, which is not a simple and straightforward business. There have been
questions raised about methods used and their accuracy in a species like orange
roughy. These questions lead the government to drastically reduce allowable
catch, I think about 2 years ago. I certainly remember that there was a hue and
a cry by the industry at the time.

I look forward to further informed debate on this issue.
