Search for Excellence

The SARE/NACAA Search for Excellence in Sustainable Agriculture program recognizes NACAA members for excellence in the development and implementation of educational programs which advance the adoption of sustainable management practices by farmers and ranchers.

Selected winners receive an honorarium and present their program during the NACAA Annual Meeting/Professional Improvement Conference.

Eligibility: Members of NACAA in good standing with their state associations and with responsibility in agricultural production systems are eligible to apply.  State committee chairs and national committee chairs and vice chairs of the responsible committee are ineligible to participate.

Winners include a Minnesota project to promote alternative crops and a Florida project to expand production and marketing of specialty crops by small farms.
