Farmer Rancher Grant recipient, Russ Kremer was recently by Back 40 for his work on reducing and eliminating the reliance on antibiotic administration on sustainable hog farms. Watch the interview here. He was also recently featured in the Union of Concerned Scientists fifth installment of "Green Cuisine".

Farmer Rancher grant recipients Jennifer Grabner and Walker Claridge were recently featured in the Columbia Tribune for their work with hoop houses.

Earl Smith and the Hancock Harvest Council's 2006 NCR-SARE Farmer Rancher Grant project about marketing locally produced products was recently featured by Farm and Dairy.

Will Allen Will Allen, Founder and CEO of Growing Power, has been named a 2008 MacAthur Fellow for his work in urban farming. Growing Power has received and been involved in several NCR-SARE grants and recently featured in Yes!.

Calvin Adams' 2007 Farmer Rancher Grant was featured by American Cowman. Adams project will look at the effects of adding legume crops such as grazing tolerant alfalfa, birdsfoot trefoil, hairy vetch, and several others to his pastures.

Will Allen

NCR-SARE Farmer Rancher grant recipient, Brandon Jaeger, was featured in the Athens News for his work investigating how staple food crops can perform in our region’s soils and climate.
