Farmland Transfer and Access Webinars

Farmland Advisors

As farmers retire or move, their land is likely to be lost to development or sold to non-farming landowners. Unfortunately, finding access to farmland is a barrier for new and existing farmers who want to start farming or expand their farm business. To keep farmland in production, American Farmland Trust used a 2012 SARE grant to create the Farmland Advisors program and developed webinars for agricultural service providers and land conservation staff on issues surrounding farmland access, farmland transfer and non-farming landowners.

In addition to the webinars, the Farmland Advisors website links to Farmlink programs in the Northeast among other useful resources.
