Close to the Ground
Close to the Ground was a quarterly publication of the Land Stewardship Project and the Biological, Social, and Financial Monitoring Project. The Monitoring Project was organized and administered by LSP in association with the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture and six farm families who are members of the Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota. The University of Minnesota, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the North Central Research Center, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture also had major roles in the Monitoring Project.
The newsletter served as a sounding board for questions and experiences of those 'out there' who are monitoring any aspect of their home life and natural landscape. It's mission is to provide inspiration, ideas, contacts, and further resources to those who are, or are at least thinking about being intentional about how they manage their resources.
