CSA Training Manual for Producers
In 2005, Jim Sluyter received an NCR-SARE Farmer Rancher grant to help farmers, especially new and prospective ones, learn about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and sustainable agriculture through a 'mini-school' for prospective CSA farmers. As part of that project, Sluyter and the mini-school organizers created a CSA "startup" manual in both English and Spanish.
"The purpose of this manual is to assist new and prospective CSA farmers by providing some basic 'nuts and bolts' of CSA management without losing sight of the fact that each CSA has its own unique personality and set of demands," said Laura DeLind, project cooperator.
