Northeast SARE Grantee-Produced Info Product
Zone tillage for corn in the Northeast
Heavy clay soils in the Northeast limit the potential for no-till practices, since clay soils are slow to warm, become compacted easily, and are more prone to run-off erosion. This project tested a reduced tillage tool, an Unverferth Zone Builder, in conjunction with a guidance system, on heavy clay soils in Vermont.
