Food, Culture and Communities
New American Farm Conference Breakout Session
Many American cultures are losing their traditions of healthy foods. Hear about an initiative that connects good food with urban communities and high-risk youth, and another that bring nutritious, traditional foods, like “kneel-down bread”, back to Navajo communities.
Available speaker presentations include:
• Teresa Showa, Ganado Family Farm, Arizona
This session was part of the New American Farm Conference, held March 25-27, 2008 in Kansas City to celebrate SARE's 20th anniversary.
